Mold is a kind of microorganism widely distributed in nature, which is widely present in soil and air. Mold test is a project in climate and environmental test, which is used to evaluate the ability of food, products or materials to resist mold erosion. It is the same as general environmental test, which selects the environmental conditions that are most susceptible to mold damage during the actual transportation, storage or use of the product, creates the environmental conditions in the laboratory by artificial simulation method and conducts the test.
Test scope
Daily chemicals, electronic products, disposable sanitary products, plastic materials, paints and inks, coatings, textiles, leather, etc.
Purpose of the test
Mold testing is used to determine:
(1) Whether a product, equipment or component grows mold;
(2) The growth rate of mold on a product or equipment;
(3) The impact of mold growth on the equipment and its mission and safety of use;
(4) Whether the equipment can be effectively stored in the environment;
(5) If mold grows, is there a simple way to remove it?
Mold testing is the most effective way to ensure that the products and equipment designed and manufactured meet the requirements for mold resistance. Although mold-resistant materials are considered during design, it is often impossible to completely avoid mold growth. Mold testing must be carried out to verify whether it truly meets the requirements. For products that are still in the development process, the results of mold testing can be used as a basis for improving the mold-resistant design of the product. For products that have been finalized, mold testing can be used as a basis for whether the product meets the design requirements and whether it can pass the design finalization. Of course, it can also provide information for future design improvements.
In order to determine the product's ability to resist mold erosion, a test method that is similar to actual working conditions and can judge the erosion effect of mold and give a correct evaluation must be developed. Provide a basis for the selection of materials, structure and design of the product to ensure that the product can operate safely and reliably in a climate environment where a large amount of mold exists.
Test items
