BIS has issued more than 30,000 product certification certificates. After obtaining the certificates, manufacturers are allowed to affix ISI labels. The certification covers almost every industrial field, including agricultural products, textiles, electronics, etc.

The first batch (MANDATORY)
Certification fields BIS certification is applicable to manufacturers from any country. The certification fields mainly include:
1. Tires; 2. Household appliances such as electric irons, kettles, electric stoves, heaters, etc.; 3. Cement and concrete; 4. Circuit breakers; 5. Steel; 6. Electric energy meters; 7. Auto parts; 8. Food, milk powder; 9. Baby bottles; 10. Tungsten filament lamps; 11. Oil pressure furnaces; 12. Large transformers; 13. Plugs; 14. Medium and high voltage wires and cables; 15. Self-ballasted bulbs. (Compulsory in batches since 1986)
Second batch (COMPULSORY)
Compulsory registration products are electronic information technology equipment, including:
1. Set-top boxes; 2. Portable computers; 3. Notebooks; 4. Tablet computers; 5. Displays with screen sizes of 32 inches and above; 6. Video monitors; 7. Printers, plotters, scanners; 8. Wireless keyboards; 9. Answering machines; 10. Automatic data processors; 11. Microwave ovens; 12. Projectors; 13. Electronic clocks with grid power; 14. Power amplifiers; 15. Electronic music systems (compulsory since March 2013)
