PSE certification is a mandatory safety certification in Japan, used to prove that electrical and electronic products have passed the safety standard test of Japan's Electrical and Material Safety Law (DENAN Law) or international IEC standards. Japan's DENTORL Law (Electrical Devices and Materials Control Law) stipulates that 506 products must pass safety certification to enter the Japanese market. Among them, 165 Class A products should obtain the diamond-shaped PSE mark, and 341 Class B products should obtain the circular PSE mark.
Since April 1, 2001, the "Electrical Products Control Law (DENTORL)" has been officially renamed the "Electrical Products Safety Law (DENAN)". Different from the previous regulatory system of contractual regulations, the new system will ensure product safety by non-official organizations.
